Implant Placement & Restoration
Implants are a great way to replace missing teeth. An implant can replace a tooth without compromising the surrounding teeth and can also replace multiple teeth similar to a fixed bridge. Implants can also be used to hold dentures in place.
Dr. Berry can place implants right here in the office. Dental implants are made of medical grade titanium and placed in the jaw bone in place of the tooth root. A crown is then placed on top of the root portion, giving you back your smile! Although getting an implant may sound like a big surgery, our patients are pleased to find that the process is actually pretty easy!
The total length of time needed to complete the process of an implant is usually 5-9 months but may be shorter or longer depending on the individual. Also, there are several ways to have a tooth temporarily during this healing phase and Dr. Berry will discuss all the options with you.
Dr. Berry places Bicon Implants which are shorter than traditional implants and require less bone for placement avoiding additional procedures that are often required when other types of implants are placed. Dr. Berry can also restore (put a crown on) any implant you may have had placed by different dentist or oral surgeon.
